UF partners with industrial entities in multiple different ways. Partnerships can range from indirect support of ongoing research activities to contracting with faculty for very specific research projects and/or specialized services.
Our business and technology units work closely with internal and external stakeholders to continue this path of success, bridging the gap between the lab and the marketplace.
The Office of Technology Licensing (OTL) at the University of Florida works with UF employee inventors with potentially patentable or copyrightable technologies and to facilitate the transfer of technologies created at UF to the commercial sector for public benefit.
Several offices and centers have missions related to university-industry connections or encouraging entrepreneurship, including the Florida Innovation Hub and the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
