This event will bring together UF innovators, researchers, start-up companies throughout the State of Florida to introduce ways to leverage Research funding, utilize resources, connecting  and learning about how each of the agencies in the Federal Lab Consortium promote and collaborate.  The platform is ideal for participants like you to also learn more  about the community expertise and engagement opportunities.

Office of Technology Licensing (OTL)

  • works with UF employee inventors to assess their technologies and determine intellectual property (IP) strategies for potentially patentable or copyrightable innovations
  • facilitates the transfer of technologies created at UF into the commercial sector for public benefit
  • assists/incubates start-up and early-stage companies by providing mentorship/critical support networks to accelerate the elapsed time needed for innovations to benefit society
  • manages the portfolio of UF technologies available for licensing by non-UF entities
  • represents UF at a wide variety of local, national, and global events that focus on innovation, entrepreneurship, technology transfer, and economic development
