The Office of Industrial Outreach was created in 2013 as part of UF’s Research Program Development. The goal of our office is to connect industry with UF’s world-class talent and resources through successful collaboration and meaningful, invaluable partnerships.

By connecting the world’s brightest minds with the world’s greatest companies or organizations, Industrial Outreach seeks to spark innovation and research development through collaboration.

Strengthening the Region

UF also actively collaborates with the local Chamber of Commerce. We often serve as a university liaison to a variety of economic development agencies in the region, and we provide university access and support for company attraction, faculty consulting and technology commercialization activities.

Through programs like the Florida High Tech Corridor, we offer joint research funding opportunities and training for academic entrepreneurs, provide licensing opportunities for companies, facilitate the commercialization process, and coordinate networking and technical assistance to support the development of companies and technologies in the region.
