NEW University of Florida Industry Partnerships (UFLIPS)

The UFLIPS technology development grants program will promote early to late stage technology development and commercialization through collaborative research opportunities between the University of Florida’s Researchers and high technology energy companies in Florida.

The path from lab to market can be risky and financially burdensome for many companies. The UFLIPS program has been created to aid Florida companies in their commercialization efforts of energy technologies.

This will allow these companies to engage UF Researchers and their teams in translational research opportunities, train and engage new talent while leveraging Research and Development dollars. Please click for more information on program Guidelines. Please contact if you have any questions.

Florida High Tech Corridor Council (FHTCC) Matching Funds Research Program

Companies located in the 23 county FL High Tech Corridor (HTC) region can both accelerate their technical and commercial accomplishments and leverage their R&D budgets by participating in the Florida High Tech Corridor Council (FHTCC) Matching Funds Research Program at the University of Florida (UF). Companies can access cutting-edge researchers at the University of Florida across all academic disciplines – including health sciences, agribusiness, engineering, information technology/informatics, and the physical and social sciences. UF is dedicating up to $2 million of Matching Funds annually to support collaborative research and development between companies and UF’s world-class faculty and students. Florida Innovation Hub at UF

The Florida Innovation Hub at UF provides its resident companies with office space, laboratories, conference rooms, and other resources to improve their likelihood of success. The Innovation Hub enables its tenants to devote their limited initial resources to the advancement of their technology and market strategies rather than traditional business operations.

UF Office of Technology Licensing

The Office of Technology Licensing transfers UF discoveries from the laboratory to the market to make the world a better place. UF OTL lists a selection of technologies available for licensing here. Read more about starting a new company here.

UF Engineering Innovation Institute

The Mission of the University of Florida Engineering Innovation Institute is to foster a culture of innovation among faculty, students and staff of the College of Engineering. The Institute serves as a nexus of engineering innovation education and experiential programs extending across the spectrum of creative discovery and invention, thus accelerating the impact on society of both UF’s engineering technologies and its innovative students. The Institute produces leaders with the engineering and innovation skills needed to address the world’s most daunting problems in a comprehensive and culturally-sensitive manner.

Sid Martin Biotechnology Incubator
