Nanotherapeutics is an emerging specialty pharmaceutical company with expertise in the early-stage development of pharmaceuticals using nanometer-scale particle delivery; the company has developed three proprietary drug delivery technologies to improve the bioavailability and enhance both the rate and extent of drug uptake: NanoQUAD, NanoDRY, and NanoCOAT.

Inventor and company co-founder James Talton, Ph.D has several authored peerreviewed publications and book chapters involved in drug delivery systems, with a primary focus in drug analysis and controlled release formulations, pharmacokinetics, and pulmonary drug delivery.

Chuck Soponis joined Nanotherapeutics last year to serve as CEO. Soponis previously served as CEO of Oragenics, Inc., leading that company to its recent IPO on the Canadian TSX exchange and subsequent transfer to the American Stock Exchange (AMEX: ONI), as well as President of a number of other biotechnology companies.

Since 2005, with technology licensed from UF's Office of Technology Licensing, Nanotherapeutics received $5.6 million in research funding to advance its platform technologies. The Company intends to raise equity capital in 2007 to accelerate its internal drug development programs.
