CEO Richard Allen has 30 years of experience in business and finance, including 16 years in executive leadership positions with medical technology businesses such as Regeneration Technologies (Nasdaq: RTIX), which he cofounded; he also founded Synogen, a private venture fund investing in early-stage biomedical and medical device companies, and co-founded Emergent Growth Fund, an angel investment fund serving North Florida.
The Office of Technology Licensing introduced Dr. Melker to Mr. Allen and in 2005, they co-founded Xhale. Just one year later, Xhale has raised $3+ million in equity financing and has its product development well underway.
