The IRB serves to protect the rights and welfare of research study participants.

Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee
IACUC oversees the University’s animal care and use program and is responsible for reviewing all animal care applications using vertebrate animals, ensuring compliance with federal animal welfare regulations, inspecting animal facilities and investigator laboratories, investigating animal concerns, and overseeing training and educational programs.


Animal Care Services
It is the mission of Animal Care Services to provide excellent service to the University of Florida researchers by providing a humane and high quality animal care and use program through proper veterinary and husbandry care, emphasizing respect and being an advocate for the research animal and providing high quality service to the research staff members with expertise, guidance, and support in all areas of their animal research efforts.


Biosafety
The UF IBC is registered with the NIH as the IBC record for all covered research conducted by the University of Florida at the main Gainesville campus.

Responsible Conduct of Research Training
Training in the responsible conduct of research (RCR) is required by various research sponsors and academic programs.

Research Security & Export Controls
Research Security includes international relationships that must be disclosed, international visitor reviews, undue foreign influence as well as export control compliance.
