Strategic Research Development helps identify funding opportunities that can make your vision a reality. We’re constantly tracking thousands of public and private funding sources and sharing what we find with the UF research community.
Sponsored Programs reviews, approves and facilitates submission of all proposals on behalf of the University of Florida faculty and staff. The PI, department administration support staff and Sponsored Programs work together to develop the most competitive and compliant proposals for submission.
Sponsored Programs is here to assist in negotiating and executing all agreements including, but not limited to, any funded or unfunded agreements related to any sponsored work, their modifications, and any other necessary/associated documents. Do NOT sign any of these documents yourself as Sponsored Programs is the authorized office to sign these documents.
When you get an award, Sponsored Programs helps you get it all set up, from budget to final reporting. UFIRST has also been developed as your online home for managing all phases of the proposal and award process. For further support, Contracts & Grants is a team of local financial advisors who help set up accounts when your award money arrives and works with you to make sure you’re spending it on all the right things.
From the moment an award is officially released at UF, a multitude of factors play into the management of that award. Contracts & Grants helps to manage your award money so you can concentrate on the business of making new discoveries. Plus, UFIRST enables you to track your awards as easily as you track your online banking.
When the project is complete, Contracts & Grants will help you close out the award and complete your commitment with the funding agency.
