Research Opportunity Seed Fund

The ROSF’s mission is to promote pathbreaking interdisciplinary research and new collaborations between scholars. To encourage this, all proposals must have at least two investigators from different colleges or centers and the strength of the interdisciplinary element of proposal is a important factor in conferring the award.

Colleges across UF engage in their own internal down selection process in the autumn of each year before the finalists move forward to the University-wide competition. If you and another scholar are interested in pursuing the ROSF, please reach out to you Associate Dean for Research about the deadlines and materials for beginning the process.

UF Research Foundation (UFRF) Professorship Awards

UFRF Professorships are awarded to tenured faculty members who have a distinguished current record of research. The purpose of these awards is to recognize recent contributions and to provide incentives for continued excellence in research.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Catalyst Fund 2020

The University of Florida has launched a major initiative to engage intellectual interest in AI with the objective of becoming a national leader in AI research and education. As part of this initiative, the AI research catalyst fund is intended to jump start research and collaboration in AI and promote the use of UF’s new computing infrastructure.
