Funding Resources – Pivot Database

Overview

Pivot provides faculty, research development professionals, and research administrators the edge by bringing together the right research opportunities, funding, and people. It provides global and local connections that strengthen research by exploring new avenues for funding and collaboration.

Create your Pivot account (GatorLink Authentication required). Pivot is free for UF faculty, students, postdocs, and staff. Register for a webinar, view Training Tutorials, or contact support for additional assistance. Pivot also provides a helpful LibGuide as well as help resources on their site:  https://proquest.libguides.com/pivot.

Remember to also link your ORCID iD.

Searching Tips

Achieving greater search results usually comes from using broad keywords, rather than honing onto separate individual projects. Users can further tailor their query to return results more relevant to their interests and eligibility.

Example: Searching “instrumentation” may give broader results than just using “equipment”

Eligibility

Please note that UF (or PIs at UF) may not be eligible to apply to all funding opportunities/categories within opportunities from your search results.

Example, UF is eligible to apply to opportunities that list “public and state-controlled institutions of higher education, non-for-profit educational institutions, public entities, etc.” However, UF is not eligible to apply to nonprofit organizations with 501c3 status from a federal funding agency.

If you’re thinking about submitting an application and have questions about eligibility, limitation and requirements, please contact us before you begin your application process.
